Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a subsidiary of Fortive, is a supplier of fuel dispensers, payment systems, and support services primarily for convenience stores. Headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, they employ approximately 4,000 people around the world. Their products include automatic tank gauging and fuel management systems, submersible pumps, fleet management systems and automated fueling capabilities. Fortive is a family of over 20 companies including Fluke, Kollmorgen, and Tektronix.
Gilbarco is interested in electric vehicle charging and ways to help their customers adapt to new technologies. Their interests align well with our developments in DC fast charging and research with the Advanced Transportation Energy Center.
