Dr. Iqbal Husain: A Visionary Leader in Global Energy Collaboration
As director of FREEDM, Dr. Iqbal Husain was honored with NC State’s Award for Excellence in Global Engagement for his unwavering commitment to fostering international collaboration in clean energy research. Xu She: From FREEDM Researcher to Global Energy Changemaker
Dr. Xu She, a former researcher at the FREEDM Systems Center and now a leader in the global clean energy sector, was named NC State’s 2025 Distinguished Global Alumni Award recipient. His work exemplifies the Center’s mission: to develop leaders who turn breakthrough ideas into real-world energy solutions.
During his time at FREEDM, Xu contributed to research that helped pave the way for smarter, more efficient power systems.
