Professor Doug Hopkins joins iMaps Exec. Council

Prof. Douglas C Hopkins, Ph.D.,  NC State University Research Professor, FREEDM Faculty and Director of the Laboratory for Packaging Research in Electronic Energy Systems (PREES), has joined the Executive Council of the International Microelectronic Assembly and Packaging Society (iMaps). IMAPS leads the microelectronics packaging, interconnect and assembly community, providing means of communicating, educating and interacting at all levels. Professor Hopkins’ has over 20 years of experience in electronic energy systems. His primary research areas include very high frequency and high density power electronic systems, extreme environment electronics, organic-based circuits for power and energy systems, high temperature metal-matrix composite packaging with integrated ceramics, and true 3D electronic packaging with flexible jet patterning. Congratulations to Dr. Hopkins on this outstanding achievement!
