Sponsored by the IEEE Power and Energy Society, the Ninth Conference on Innovative Smart Grid Technology will focus on grid planning, operations, markets and policies to address the effective integration of variable and distributed energy resources, as well as the growing importance of participation of customers and third parties in the generation and management of electricity.

There are several tutorials before the conference including one hosted by EPRI where FREEDM will also be presenting. Efficient Electrification will explore some of the economic and environmental factors that drive the adoption of electric technologies to increase productivity and improve product quality. Dr. Srdjan Lukic will present advances in wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductors, explain the basics of the FREEDM System, and describe other WBG applications.
