Abstract
A new plug and socket outlet is developed for high voltage (e.g. 380V) DC applications. Comparing
with the existing solutions, the proposed device is totally electric arc free for DC voltage application.
Furthermore, over temperature protection and over current protection circuit are proposed and
implemented for protecting unexpected accident on DC bus and power electronics load. The plug
have same mechanical structure with conventional 120V AC home outlet. So it is easily compatible
with existing device.
