Suyash Sushilkumar Shah

Suyash Sushilkumar Shah was born in Sirohi, India. He received the B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Electrical Engineering and Power Electronics, respectively, from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, India in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA, in 2020.

From 2011-15, he was with the Grid Systems R&D team at ABB in India and in Sweden. Since 2015, concurrent to his Ph.D. program, he was Research Assistant on industry projects funded under the DOE Power America Institute. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the NSF FREEDM Systems Center, North Carolina State University in Raleigh, USA. As student, he has also worked at Tata Motors, India, GE Research, India, and John Deere Electronic Solutions, USA. His current research is focused on the design, modeling, control and stability of complex power electronic systems for automotive and renewable energy applications as well as wide band-gap semiconductor (SiC/GaN) based high frequency resonant and soft-switched converter systems.

Dr. Shah is an active reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Industrial Electronics and several international IEEE conferences.
