Vishnu Mahadeva Iyer

I’m an electrical engineer who is passionate about all aspects of power conversion and its control. I’m pursuing my PhD in power electronics at the NSF funded FREEDM Systems Center at NC State.┬áMy current research interests include fast charging systems for electric vehicles, grid connected power converters, resonant and soft-switched dc-dc converters, power electronic solutions based on wide band-gap semiconductor devices, etc.

Prior Experience

I completed my Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 2013. From 2013-2015, I was with the Power Conversion Systems Lab at GE Global Research, Bangalore, India where I was working on power electronic converters for electric vehicles and more-electric aircrafts.
