Abstract
The invention involves a unique medium-voltage and high-frequency coaxial-type resonant power transformer (CRT) for a resonant type converter applications. The CRT integrates a resonant tank by utilizing the stray magnetic and electric flux in a concentric geometry of the transformer. Therefore, the limited space in compact size is efficiently used and the unexpected effects of parasitics are eliminated and combined as elements to transfer energy at high-frequency operation.
