Overview
The purpose of the Distributed Grid Intelligence (DGI) project is to provide FREEDM system software capable of guarding against security attacks and system failures. In the event of a computation process failing or becoming compromised, the DGI uses a reputation-based system to detect the abnormality and remove the process to maintain system stability. DGI is also tasked with developing a common code base that allows for the seamless transfer of information between the Green Energy Hub, Hardware-in-the-Loop, and Large Scale System Simulation testbeds.
