Overview
The purpose of the Post-Silicon Device (PSD) project is to develop high-performing devices for use in the Solid State Transformer (SST) and Fault Interruption Device (FID) projects. These devices, which are fabricated from silicon carbide for ultra-high voltage and gallium nitride for low voltage, have demonstrated increased performance at high temperatures compared to traditional silicon devices.
